IMHO, anyone who's purchased a fair number of apps for an Apple device over the years is very likely to eventually fall victim to Apple's inconsiderate disregard for backward compatibility - i.e. become an 'iOS update victim'. The following are some comments concerning this regrettable & costly situation. Please feel free to share your own reflections for possible future inclusion on this blog. INITIAL OBSERVATIONS * Apple sells its customers (that is, 'possible future iOS update victims' or PFIUVs) apps that Apple knows will likely be incompatible in a short time (e.g. if the device is updated). These apps may cost purchasers (PFIUVs) good money. There is no known limit to how many apps one may lose use of, or of how much money this loss of apps may cost people.
